Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme is a specifically designed package for in-service untrained teachers working in primary/upper primary schools of different states of the country.D.El.Ed is creative thinking, good communication skills, patience, and the aptitude to teach the students.
Roles & Responsibilities
Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom
Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
Benefits of D.El.EdProgram
After completing the Diploma of Elementary Education, you can immediately work as a junior teacher in an educational institution. In addition, you can also choose higher education, such as a Bachelor of Education. The technical description of D.El.Ed is a basic teacher training course. D.El.Ed is similar to educational courses such as D.Ed (Diploma in Education) and DTET (Diploma in Teacher Training) to some extent and is also one of the most popular courses in JBT and ETT (Teacher Training). These courses provide similar opportunities in terms of work. D.El.Ed is a two-year course. Eligibility Criteria
Under Graduates who have completed 10+2 from recognized board with 50% minimum marks.The age limit might vary from one state board to another However, broadly the minimum age is 18 years and maximum age limit is 35 years
